I am organising a fundraiser here in Bundaberg for Youngcare Australia.
Youngcare Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation established in 2005 to support young people (aged 16–65) with high-care, complex, and permanent physical disabilities. We believe not a single young person should have to reside in aged care.

The story behind my connection with Youngcare Australia…
16/01/2006 – My husband Fedor Stavast died in an aged care facility in The Netherlands, he was only 34.
Fedor had crashed into a tree on his way to work on 16/12/2001.
I was 7 months pregnant with our first child Isa.
Fedor came out of his coma 100% paralysed, with Locked-In Syndrome. All the amazing staff at the care facilities he has lived in were INCREDIBLE. However, being in an aged care facility was highly inappropriate for my husband, who was still young of heart and mind.
After he died, Isa and I moved to Australia and we found Youngcare. We were at the opening of the first ever Youngcare appartments in Sinnamon Park, Brisbane. Nearly 20 years ago!
Youngcare is always close to our hearts, and so to honour my forever Valentine Fedor, I am hosting this event.
I will be doing 6 talks, one every top of the hour. About my journey, my healing, my fun, crazy life…. and more. I’d love to welcome you into my wonderful world.
